No Credit Check Loans in Ontario — Your Score Is a Number, Not Your Story
A missed payment from 2021. A medical debt that spiralled. A divorce that left your credit in ruins. Life happens — and Ontario lenders in our network already know that. Approval for payday loans in Ontario is based on what you earn today and whether your bank account is active. Your Equifax score is not the deciding factor.
Understanding this product
What Does 'No Credit Check' Actually Mean in Ontario?
When Ontario payday lenders say no credit check, they mean they do not submit a hard inquiry to Equifax or TransUnion when reviewing your application. A hard inquiry is the kind that appears on your credit file and can temporarily lower your score. None of that happens here. Your application is evaluated based on your current income — employment, ODSP, CPP, EI — and your active Canadian banking activity.
This does not mean lenders approve everyone with no review at all. They do assess your application — they simply assess it differently. What matters to them is whether your income is regular enough to repay the loan on your next paycheque, and whether your bank account shows normal activity. Collections, missed payments, consumer proposals, and even discharged bankruptcies do not automatically disqualify you. Ontario's Payday Loans Act, 2008 protects your rights throughout the entire process.

Credit Situations We Accept in Ontario
Lenders in our Ontario network take a different approach to credit. Here are the situations they regularly approve.
Missed Payments
Late credit card payments, missed utility bills, or skipped loan instalments — these are common and do not block approval when your income is current and your bank account is active.
Collections & Charge-Offs
Accounts sent to collections can stay on your credit file for six years in Ontario. Our lenders look past this history and focus entirely on your current ability to repay.
Consumer Proposals
A consumer proposal is a legal agreement to repay a portion of your debt. It is not bankruptcy. Ontario payday lenders regularly approve applicants who are currently in a consumer proposal.
Discharged Bankruptcies
Once your bankruptcy is discharged, Ontario payday lenders can consider your application. Your discharge date, not the bankruptcy itself, is what matters to lenders in our network.
No Credit History
New to Canada? Young adult just starting out? No credit file at all means lenders rely entirely on your income and banking — which is exactly what they prefer to look at anyway.
Low Credit Score
Scores below 560 are considered poor by most lenders. Ontario payday lenders in our network are not most lenders. Income and active banking take precedence over your score number.
Why it works
Why No-Credit-Check Payday Loans Exist in Ontario
Ontario's Payday Loans Act created a regulated space for short-term lending that serves people banks often won't. Here is what makes this model work.
✓ Short loan terms reduce lender risk
A payday loan in Ontario is repaid on your next paycheque — typically in 14 to 31 days. The short term means lenders carry less risk than they would with a multi-year personal loan, which is why they can approve applicants that banks won't touch.
✓ Income verification replaces credit scoring
Instead of asking Equifax what happened years ago, Ontario payday lenders ask your bank account what happened last month. Regular deposits are a stronger predictor of short-term repayment ability than a three-digit credit score.
✓ Ontario law caps the fees
The maximum fee is $14 per $100 borrowed — legislated by the Ontario government. There are no surprise charges. Your offer shows the exact fee and total repayment before you sign. You have two business days to cancel at no cost.
Your questions answered
Frequently Asked Questions
No. Applying through our network does not trigger a hard credit inquiry — the kind that appears on your credit file and affects your score. Your application is assessed based on income and banking. The application process itself will not lower your Equifax or TransUnion score.
Yes. Being in a consumer proposal does not automatically disqualify you from an Ontario payday loan. Lenders assess your current income and banking activity independently. Many applicants in consumer proposals are approved regularly through our network.
Employment income (full-time, part-time, or contract), ODSP disability benefits, Ontario Works, CPP, EI, pension income, and other regular deposits are all considered. The key factor is that your income arrives regularly and is sufficient to cover the repayment on your next pay date.
Ontario law limits payday loans to $1,500 per application and to 50% of your net pay per pay period. The exact amount you are offered depends on your income level and the lender's assessment — but the maximum fee is always $14 per $100 borrowed regardless of your credit history.
